Two in-store events for MCM at Desert Hills Premium Outlets
DJ A-Tron provided the music for two MCM Cabazon in-store events in 2026: the Lunar New Year Party on February 28 and the MCM Birthday “Cheers & Shop” celebration on March 28, both at the MCM store in Desert Hills Premium Outlets.
The brief
MCM Cabazon wanted shopping-day energy, not a nightclub. That means an open-format set that keeps a boutique moving: R&B, hip-hop, pop and throwbacks at a level where clients can still talk to their stylist, with the energy lifting for raffles, toasts and gift-with-purchase moments.
The setup was built for a retail floor: a compact Rane and Serato rig on a draped table inside the store, two speakers on stands, in and out without touching the merchandising.
Lunar New Year Party, February 28, 2026
Saturday at 3 PM, welcoming the Year of the Horse. The store went red and gold with lanterns and couplets, Hello Soju poured, artist Whin III painted custom pieces, and Studio Sweet Time and V&M Signature Creations rounded out the afternoon. A-Tron was on the decks from the first guests through the last raffle, and MCM Cabazon’s own recap credited him with keeping the vibe.
MCM Birthday: Cheers & Shop, March 28, 2026
MCM turned 50 in 2026, and the Cabazon store has been open since 2018, so the second event was a birthday. Saturday at 3 PM: music by DJ A-Tron with DJ Dee Lo, custom painted designs by Whin3, refreshments from Hello Soju, goodie bags, a raffle and new arrivals, with “MCM” spelled out in streamers on the wall behind the booth.
